Description

Overview

Rodolfo Dordoni designed the Song coffee tables for Minotti. The base is made entirely of solid brushed ash with a painted Black finish and comes from the cabinet-making tradition, while the table tops use unconventional materials and sophisticated colours.

Construction

The legs are solid brushed ash with open-pore Black lacquer. The top is a 20 mm MDF panel in glossy lacquer or brushed larch veneer, 20 mm Calacatta marble, or 12 mm tempered backpainted glass, and a structural panel in black laminated MDF sits under all of the tops. Adjustable metal feet in a polished Light Gold finish carry protective DELRIN® glides.

Specifications

  • Round top: 120 x 120 cm (W x D)
  • Legs: solid brushed ash, open-pore Black lacquer
  • Feet: adjustable metal, polished Light Gold, with DELRIN® glides

Story

An ash base with a cabinet-making ancestry

The base of the Song coffee tables is made entirely of solid brushed ash with a painted Black finish. Its form reveals an ancestry firmly established in the cabinet-making tradition.

Tops that experiment with materials

The finishes for the table tops communicate an irrepressible desire to experiment with unconventional materials and sophisticated colours, each traceable to a different stylistic interpretation. They include backpainted glass, glossy lacquer, brushed larch with Licorice stain and Calacatta marble.
