Description
Overview
The Soft Side Table by Jens Fager is a round side table in Muuto's Soft family. The selected version measures Ø41 x H40 cm.
Construction
Powder-coated die-cast aluminium forms the base, and at least 97% of that aluminium is recycled post-consumer material. Glides are pre-mounted. The tabletop is MDF with a nanolaminate, laminate or linoleum surface, or solid oiled or smoked oak.
Specifications
Overall size: Ø41 x H40 cm. Laminate, solid oiled oak and solid smoked oak tabletops are made with FSC-certified wood (FSC-C028824).
Story
A table that is easy to move
Muuto describes the Soft Side Table as subtle yet characterful, with softened surfaces and understated functionalities. A gentle groove under the tabletop makes the table easy to move around.
Studio visit with the designer
Muuto visited Jens Fager in his barn-turned-studio in the Swedish countryside to explore his thoughts behind the Soft Side Table design. Fager graduated from Konstfack University in Stockholm and has exhibited in London, Milan and Stockholm.
