Overview
Jens Fager's Soft Café Table combines a die-cast aluminium base with a discreet groove beneath the top that provides a handhold when the table is moved. The selected square version measures 70 × 70 × H73 cm.
Construction
The powder-coated base is die-cast aluminium, with recycled post-consumer metal accounting for no less than 97%. Muuto supplies MDF tops with nanolaminate, laminate or linoleum surfaces, alongside solid oak alternatives.
Specifications
Square and round tops are offered at 73, 95 and 105 cm heights. Pre-mounted glides are included, and specified wood-based tops carry FSC certification.

The café model translates Jens Fager's softened table vocabulary into a compact table format. Its product page singles out the shallow groove beneath the top as a tactile detail that helps a user lift or reposition the table.
Formats for different heights
Muuto lists three square and three round formats. The selected 73 cm square model is one of the six formats listed by Muuto; the same two top shapes are also offered at 95 and 105 cm.
