Description
Overview
Studio Kairos designed Sir Vito in 2021 as a multi-purpose small table. Rounded shapes and variable height are its main features, along with a small extractable tray it can be equipped with. The surface of the top gently flexes into the front of the tray, creating a naturally fluid form.
Construction
The top rests on an asymmetrical four-spoke die-cast aluminium base. A piston mechanism in the shaft, regulated by a ring nut, sets the height between 56 cm and 68.5 cm. The tray revolves on itself to be revealed. The top is MDF wood fibre or solid wood, and the tray frame is painted hard polyurethane with a bottom base covered in leather.
Specifications
Overall size: 58 x 37 cm (W x D, TSIR58 and TSIR58_C). Height: adjustable, 56 cm minimum and 68.5 cm maximum. Base: die-cast aluminium. Support frame: aluminium and steel. Ferrules: plastic material.
Story
A small table with a fluid curve
Sir Vito is a multi-purpose small table by Studio Kairos, dated 2021. Rounded shapes and variable height are its main features. The surface of the top gently flexes into the front of the tray, which gives a naturally fluid form.
A shaft that sets the height
The shaft conceals a piston mechanism regulated by a ring nut, so the height can be chosen easily. The tray turns on itself to be revealed, and the uniformity of the curve is kept as it moves.
