Description
Overview
Shelf X is a bookcase designed by Naoto Fukasawa in 2005. B&B Italia describes an exclusive object made from homogeneous Corian, with thin intersecting surfaces and emphatic geometry.

Construction
The product sheet identifies a single principal construction item: a DuPont Corian acrylic-material frame. The freestanding bookcase is defined by the continuous material and intersecting planes rather than by applied doors, drawers or secondary storage units.
Specifications
- Representative variant: SX131A
- Largest drawing values, not labelled with axes: 131, 37 and 145.5 cm
Story
A distinct Shelf variation
Shelf X shares the Shelf name and the manufacturer's language of thin surfaces, strong geometry and an almost immaterial presence, while its intersecting planes distinguish its silhouette.
One documented construction
The official sheet lists only the Corian frame for this model. There are no separate wall-fixing brackets in its technical information, unlike the SL180 version of Shelf. The selected SX131A drawing records the freestanding form through front and side views.
