Description

Overview

Sedona Edge is a bed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso that changes the profile of the headboard. A tone-on-tone faux fur edging runs round it.

Construction

The headboard is built around a Polimex core fitted with soft polyurethane inserts. Beneath the mattress, layered wooden panels padded in soft polyurethane make the frame; steel supports lacquered black sit at the corners, and the feet are polypropylene. The covers come off completely.

Story

An edge that shapes softness

Sedona Edge is a variation on the Sedona bed. Along the headboard profile, where seams and structural transitions normally sit, a tone-on-tone edging echoing the main upholstery takes their place. The edging is built into the construction, so the trim is part of how the silhouette is formed and not only a finishing detail.

Depth and lightness

The form keeps its clarity while the perimeter gains depth and lightness, and the edging softens the straight lines of the volume. It creates a more intimate, welcoming atmosphere in the sleeping area.
