SEAM ONE table light
Mark Holmes designed SEAM ONE in 2003 as a modern interpretation of a classic table lamp. Three firmly bonded components of folded aluminium sheet form the enclosure, with signal-white powder coating as the standard finish.
Dimensions and output
The lamp measures 450 × 200 × 400 mm. It distributes diffused light symmetrically upward and downward through a diffuser, using an E27 socket and a recommended 9 W, 2700 K LED retrofit source. Its manual switch does not dim.
Story
Reduction to three parts
SEAM ONE concentrates its construction into three permanently joined folded-sheet components. e15 links this reduction to the prominence of the light itself rather than to added detailing.
Standard and special finishes
The regular specification lists signal-white powder-coated aluminium. The same sheet also records custom colours and a separate 24-karat gold-plated special edition limited to ten pieces.
