Sandra Settee

Overview

The Sandra Large settee with lumbar cushions is a three-place Ligne Roset settee designed by Annie Hiéronimus and constructed wholly from foam. It measures W 2,130 x D 1,020 x H 680 mm, with 370 mm to the seat and a weight of 40 kg. The cover comes in 29 materials.

Construction

Two polyether foams make up the structure, one of 21 kg/m³ (3.2 kPa) and one of 28 kg/m³ (4.8 kPa). Seat and back are high-resilience Bultex polyurethane foam, 36 kg/m³ and 38 kg/m³, each rated 2.8 kPa. Polyurethane foam of 45 kg/m³ (1.8 kPa), described as ultra-soft, covers the entire settee. Single-needle stitching holds a 480 g/m² polyester quilting layer on the cover.

An all-foam settee, re-edited

The Sandra settee is made entirely of foam, and Ligne Roset has brought it back as a re-edited model. The update keeps an iconic design that is both functional and aesthetic, shaped around soft, welcoming curves, simplicity and refinement, without unnecessary artifice.

Low profile and lumbar support

The settee has a low, enveloping appearance that structures the space without weighing it down. Its seat and back hug the body, allowing different positions of complete relaxation. Lumbar cushions are part of this large settee, and the combination of foams supports the body while keeping the feel very soft.
