Overview
Dated 2026, Sailor Float was designed by David Lopez Quincoces for Living Divani. It turns Sailor into a sideboard that keeps the elegance and minimalism of the original bookshelf, with hexagonal uprights, tapered shelves and storage units.
Construction
The wall-mounted uprights are steel with a hexagonal section of 25 mm across flats, in brass coloured steel or a Gunmetal grey paint finish. The "keel-shaped" shelves are made of extruded aluminium with solid wood end-pieces. The storage unit is made of MDF with a flap door, an integrated hinge and a push and pull system, and its pairs of internal shelves are 8 mm thick smoked tempered glass.

The components are the disk, shelves, storage unit and uprights. Finishes include Striped Grey multilaminar wood, bleached maple and Canaletto walnut.
Story
A bookshelf turned into a sideboard
Sailor Float takes the original Sailor bookshelf and makes it a sideboard. Designer David Lopez Quincoces keeps its elegance and minimalism, and the uprights, tapered shelves and storage units are combined for flexibility, functionality and visual lightness.
Four components
The system is made of a disk, shelves, a storage unit and uprights. The steel uprights are wall-mounted and the shelves are fixed to them, and the storage unit opens and closes with a flap.
