Description

Overview

The S 32 Lounge is the lounge version of the S 32 cantilever chair, credited to Marcel Breuer (artistic copyright Mart Stam) and listed on Thonet's page with the year 2023. It has five versions: S 32 VL, S 32 NL, S 32 SPVL, S 32 SPVNL and S 32 PVL.

Construction

A cantilevered tubular steel frame with a chrome or powder-coat finish carries a seat and back in canework with synthetic mesh, in mesh, or in upholstery. The seat is widened to 58 cm and tilted slightly backwards. There are no armrests.

Without armrests

The chair has no armrests, which Thonet says creates a relaxed atmosphere with no obvious barriers to communication. At 40 cm the seat height is matched to sofas.
