Description

Overview

The Rows storage series by Patricia Urquiola has four types of unit: two sideboards, a cabinet and a console table with drawers, designed for the dining and living space. The selected cabinet carries code RW02FO.

Construction

The units are finished in oak veneer applied with a membrane press, a process that keeps the grain continuous and gives the furniture an artisanal feel without hiding the industrial method of production. The top is marble or back-painted glass. The doors open up to 105° on black hinges, and height-adjustable glides sit under the unit, one pair for each side.

Specifications

  • Veneer: oak, five finishes
  • Top: marble (four stones) or back-painted glass (five colours)
  • Hinges: black, door opening up to 105°
  • Glides: height-adjustable

Story

Four storage types in one series

The storage side of Rows has two sideboards, a cabinet and a console table with drawers. Patricia Urquiola designed them for the dining and living space, and the series evokes suggestions that reach from Deco to the rationalism of the 1930s.

Oak veneer that shows the process

The membrane press that applies the oak veneer preserves the continuity of the grain. This gives the furniture an artisanal feel, while the industrial method of production stays visible.
