Story
One of Rohde's last chairs
Herman Miller identifies the Easy Chair as one of Gilbert Rohde's last designs. Its return connects the work of the company's first design director with the present catalogue.
Biomorphic context
The manufacturer relates the chair's rounded form to Rohde's interest in 1940s art and describes its tufting as a traditional reference combined with an organic seat and back.
