Description

Overview

Ritter is a square coffee table from Rodolfo Dordoni. An exotic wood, brushed wenge lacquered in a Moka colour, gives it substance, balanced by a clean, minimal design ethos. Glossy lacquer finishes in Corten, Petroleum and Mud are the alternative.

Construction

The structure is 20 mm MDF glued at a 45° angle, with beveled corners. It is finished in 2 mm brushed wenge veneer with an open pore Moka colour lacquer, or in glossy lacquer in Corten, Petroleum or Mud. Under it sits an adjustable base, 65 mm tall, in matt black paint, with protective Hytrel® slides in soft, scratchproof rubber.

Specifications

  • Overall height: 18.5 cm
  • Structure: 20 mm MDF, glued at 45°, beveled corners
  • Veneer: 2 mm brushed wenge, open pore Moka lacquer
  • Base: adjustable, 65 mm tall, matt black

Story

Wenge with a clean design

An exotic wood like Moka-coloured lacquered brushed wenge lends spellbinding substance to the Ritter coffee table. The veneer is crafted from a special 2 mm-thick sheet, and with its brushed finish it adds organic value and visual and tactile sensations similar to those of solid wood.

Lacquer and a floating base

The texture and feel of wood and the sheen of glossy lacquer add depth to a clean, sleek design. Ritter appears to float above the floor on a black painted base, and glossy lacquer shades such as Corten, Petroleum and Mud sit beside the wenge version.
