Description
Overview
Hannes Peer's Riley for Minotti is introduced on the official page through a sinuous geometric pattern. A monolithic seat volume rises from a recessed metal base, with light vertical quilting on the back and arm. A deeper leather profile, contrasting or matched to the sofa colour, runs along the square backrest and armrest in one curved and straight line, and cuts a teardrop shape at 45 degrees where arm meets seat.

Construction
Plywood is the structure; the seat is coated in resilient polyurethane foam over a core of steel pocket springs, while back and arm are coated in variable-density foam wrapped in heat-bonded fibre on white hypoallergenic cotton. Seat and back cushions hold high-loft channelled goose down that is Assopiuma-certified (Gold Label), wrapped around a polyurethane insert; the seat cushion is held by a perimeter zipper. A perimeter metal base in Black chrome or polished anti-fingerprint Bronze stands on adjustable black polyethylene feet. Every version has completely removable upholstery, in fabric or leather.
Specifications
Riley sofa 242 cm: 242 cm wide, 112 cm deep and 85 cm high. The optional "Relax" backrest cushion is 75x65 cm. The page notes FSC® certified wood components.
Story
Two souls
The page quotes Hannes Peer on Riley: "a dynamic and versatile design that interprets the embrace of two perfectly complementary souls, balanced between restraint and expressiveness, rigour and ease, permanence and fluidity". The architectural side faces outward; the interior is softer, with a strong decorative sign that invites relaxation.
Tailoring
In Minotti's account the leather profile is a trace, an unbroken line, that makes each sofa a couture-inspired piece. The seat cushion is a single element partly sunk into the padded base, with a 5 cm decorative band, and elements come in two seat depths.
