Description
Overview
The Rey Bar Stool belongs to the Rey Collection that HAY relaunched with Dietiker. It is made in solid wood with a chrome footrest and comes in two heights, a low version with a 65 cm seat and a high version with a 75 cm seat.

Construction
Per the HAY fact sheet, the stool combines a beech-veneered moulded plywood shell with beech legs in solid wood and a chromed steel footrest, and plastic gliders sit on every variant. Upholstered seats are padded with 25 mm of foam. The page adds that colours include both the originals and new tones, with seat upholstery picked by HAY.

Story
Rey with a footrest
The Bar Stool carries the Rey language to counter and bar height. The page calls it a timeless and versatile bar stool for domestic, public or corporate settings.
Two heights
HAY lists the bar stool in two sizes. The H75 version raises the seat by 10 cm and the footrest by 10 cm over the H65 version. The fact sheet says both are tested to the EN 16139 L2 standard for non-domestic seating and ANSI BIFMA X5.1 for office chairs.
