Story
Designed at De Cirkel
HAY's designer text says Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer met at De Cirkel, the steel-furniture maker that had merged with the Ahrend group, and developed the Result Chair there in 1958. HAY's 2017 news page gives the chair as 1959.

Back in Production
HAY's news page says the Result Chair uses the cutout sheet steel construction method to make a chair that is adaptable, light and strong, created to last, and that Result chairs from the 1950s and 60s can still be found in use. In 2017 HAY and Ahrend brought the design back into production.
