Overview
Resonant Pendant is an indoor mid-century pendant lamp designed in the 1950s by Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandström. It is shaped from polished brass into four concentric shades that direct glare-free light downwards.
Construction
Spinning and milling shape the brass: the shade is spun, and the details are milled. Brass and steel are named as the materials, and a black cord hangs from the canopy.
Specifications
53 x 53 x 27 cm (SKU 71122-001295, EU / UK / AU version), net weight 3.3 kg. One E27 lamp, 220-240 V, 60 W maximum, phase-dimmable. The cord is black and 410 cm long, and the canopy measures Ø 11.5 cm. IP20, protection class 2.
Story
Light and sound
Resonant Pendant is both striking and simple, and as relevant today as ever. The name alludes to an interplay of light and sound: the shiny surface reflects, and the effect carries across the room.
Four concentric shades
The lamp is formed from polished brass into four concentric shades. They direct glare-free light downwards, and the generous proportions make it a centrepiece over a dining or living area.
