Overview
Collector Chandelier, 3 is an indoor chandelier from the Collector series, imagined by the Swedish furniture designer Alf Svensson in the 1950s. Conical metal shades are mounted on a central band of solid brass and direct light both upwards and downwards. Small perforations in each shade disperse the light outwards and create shadows.
Construction
The shades are spun aluminium with milled brass details, and the listed materials are brass, steel and aluminium. The chandelier hangs from a black cord.

Ø 61 x H 25 cm (SKU 71125-001285), net weight 2.2 kg. Light source 6 x GU10, 220-240 V, max 35 W each, dimmable with phase dimming. Canopy Ø 11.5 cm, black cord 410 cm. IP20, protection class 2.
Story
Part of a three-lamp series
Alf Svensson devised the Collector series in the 1950s, and Chandelier 3 is one of its three lighting designs. Its sophisticated mid-century design combines graphic beauty with classic elegance, which gives it timeless appeal.
Light through perforations
The conical shades send ambient light both up and down. Tiny perforations in every shade scatter the light outwards and throw shadows across the room, so the fixture is decorative as well as functional.
