Construction

The datasheet lists an aluminium structure, painted, with plastic ferrules and a burnished metal finish. The top is Etna lava stone, matt or enamelled.

Tops that nest

The page says the proportions are calibrated so the pieces nest, and that as the tops grow smaller their heights increase so they fit into one another. It describes this interlocking quality as the way to build islands in a room, each table standing alone yet part of one ensemble.

Between two Molteni&C outdoor collections

The datasheet connects Regent to two earlier outdoor ranges: the rounded, edgeless tops and the metal band, here set vertically, echo the Timeout Collection, while the lines recall the organic Landmark Collection. The burnished metal and the Etna lava stone top give a sense of continuity between the two.
