Description
Overview
The Reeves "Small" armchair is the compact seat of the Reeves family by Rodolfo Dordoni. Minotti's page pairs it with the semi-round "Lounge" sofa as synonymous with compact size and sophisticated constructive details, and it is offered on a fixed base or a swivel base.
Construction
- Fixed base: the back rests on a metal support in a glossy light Bronze painted finish and on front legs, solid Sucupira in a stained Mink colour
- Swivel base: four pressure-cast metal crosspieces in a light Bronze satin finish on the page's text; automatic return to centre
- Covers: fabric or leather, removable once the metal frame is taken off
Specifications
- "Small" armchair (swivel): W 66 x D 74 x H 68 cm; the fixed version is drawn with the same three values
Story
Fixed or swivel
The page offers the Reeves "Small" armchair in two base versions, one fixed and one swivel. On the sheet the swivel movement is marked as a full turn with a return.
Compact lines
Minotti's focus text says the armchair has graceful lines and compact proportions. In the page's opening paragraph the "Small" armchair and the semi-round "Lounge" sofa are named together for their compact size.
