Overview
Puff Table Lamp Twist is a rice paper table lamp by Saskia Huebner for Normann Copenhagen, taken from the Puff collection. It weighs 1.04 kg.
Construction
The rice paper shade is collapsible and is delivered flat-packed. It sits on a white powder-coated steel base with soft EVA foam underneath, which protects the tabletop. The lamp is equipped with a 2 m white textile cord, and a small passageway beneath the base lets the cord follow the surface to the power outlet.
Specifications
Ø16 x H28.5 cm (Puff Table Lamp Twist EU White, 605724). Rated 220-240 V at 50/60 Hz, with class II and IP20; the E14 socket is meant for LED bulbs up to 2 W.
Story
A Puff shade for the tabletop
Twist is the shape that the collection describes as two circles merging into one, and it is the form chosen for the table lamp. Puff is Saskia Huebner's 2022 collection of rice paper lamps.
Soft light from paper
The rice paper shields the light source gently, which gives a natural, warm light instead of a bright, exposed one. The shade is collapsible, and the steel base carries soft EVA foam underneath to protect the tabletop.
