Overview
Puff Floor Lamp Bubble is a rice paper floor lamp by Saskia Huebner for Normann Copenhagen. It belongs to the Puff collection and weighs 3.5 kg.
Construction
The rice paper shade has a collapsible construction and arrives flat-packed. A white powder-coated steel pole and base carry it, with soft EVA foam under the base to protect the floor. A 2 m white textile cord is fitted, and a small passageway under the base guides it along the surface to the outlet.

Story
Rice paper on the floor
The Puff collection reinterprets the rice paper lamp, a kind of shade used in Asia for centuries. The idea came to Saskia Huebner on a trip to Japan, and the collection is her design from 2022. In the floor lamp the paper shade is carried by a white steel pole and base.
Volume without heft
Rice paper makes a large shade possible without wasted material or a heavy construction. The paper softens the output of the bulb, so the light is natural and warm and the lamp reads as an organic sculpture in the room.
