Description
Overview
James Van Vossel designed the Pose reading lamp for Ligne Roset. A semi-spherical metal shade, Ø 20 cm and inclined downwards at 35°, sits on a metal pole of Ø 28 mm.
Base and light
The base is Ø 24 cm and is made of two metal discs, each 6 mm thick and spaced 8 mm apart. The lower disc is fixed and rests on the ground; the upper disc turns around a vertical axis, so the stem and shade rotate through 360° to direct the indirect light. An LED module placed in line with the stem lights the inside of the shade: 3 W, 12 V, 3000 K (warm white), 1380 lumens, with interchangeable LEDs.
Finish and controls
The finish is satin white epoxy lacquer. The cable is white PVC and the switch is a white foot switch.

Story
A shade that turns to the task
On Pose the stem and the semi-spherical shade rotate together through 360°. The base is built from two 6 mm metal discs, one fixed to the floor and one turning on a vertical axis. The 360° rotation lets the indirect light be channelled towards the desired area.
Light inside the shade
An LED module in the extension of the stem lights the interior of the shade. The module is 3 W at 12 V and 3000 K, and its LEDs are interchangeable.
