Story
Taken from brutalist architecture
Normann Copenhagen says the design is inspired by brutalist architecture, whose robust materials and geometric shapes form the foundation for the outline of Pole. The manufacturer presents the stool as an out-of-the-ordinary bar stool, with a circular pine seat set against a steel tube base.
Simple form, made to be recognised
Simon Legald says in the press release that a simple but original form is the hardest part of designing, and that Pole was aimed at being sturdy, made of good materials and easy to recognise.
