Overview

Polder Compact is the shorter sofa in Hella Jongerius’s Polder group. Its body carries two arms at different heights, and the taller end can be selected on either side.

Story

A condensed Polder format

Vitra distinguishes Compact through its reduced 2250 mm width and two unequal ends. It omits the long exposed platform of the larger sofa while retaining a directional layout.

Orientation selected for the room

The taller arm may be placed at the left or right. This choice changes the orientation without changing the overall width, depth or maximum height.
