Overview
The Ploum Footstool is the one-place footstool in the Ploum range, with a generously quilted woven cover and a rounded upholstered form. Its listed dimensions are 1100 mm wide, 800 mm deep, with a 390 mm seat height.
Construction
Its covered base uses steel tubing, wire and mesh. The seat is formed from high-resilience polyurethane Bultex foam at 48 kg/m³ and 3.6 kPa. The cover is made from woven fabric, quilted by points of stitching, and may be removed by an upholsterer.
Specifications
The one-place version weighs 21 kg. Seven material choices are listed: Moby, Hydro, Appa, Gentle, Milla, Sea and Uniform Melange.

Ploum design
R. & E. Bouroullec designed the Ploum pieces around research into comfort and the way a generous, flexible upholstered form supports different postures. This footstool translates that rounded language into a one-place piece with a low, soft profile.
