Story
Stool of the seating collection
Knoll's seating cut sheet describes the Platner seating as a side chair and a lounge chair with a complementary stool, and the design page shows the stool beside the arm chair, the side chair and the lounge chair. Its own drawing on that sheet gives 15.25 in across and 22.75 in high, and the shop lists the 22.75 in value as the seat height.
Fabric or leather cushion
The cushion sits on a molded fibreglass shell with a molded latex foam layer. The shop picker offers it in fourteen upholstery ranges with 119 colours in all, from Acqua leather and Volo leather to Cato, Classic Boucle, Knoll Velvet, Diva, Crossroad and Prestini.
