Story
A dining chair with arms
Knoll's online shop files the Platner Armchair under Dining, in its Dining Chairs category, while the design-plan page lists it as the 1725 Platner Arm Chair. The Platner seating cut sheet uses a third name: it counts a side chair among the seating pieces, alongside the lounge chair and its stool.
Seen at the table
Most of Knoll's room photographs show this chair at a table: around the Platner dining table, at a Saarinen dining table (caption 10412), with a Cyclone table (6498) and beside a Florence Knoll coffee table (16786).
