Story

A clean, light construction

Kjærholm brought wood and steel together in a pared-down desk that Carl Hansen & Søn calls a perfect example of his contribution to Danish design.

For students

The desk was designed for a school, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, while Kjærholm was a member of its academic staff; the page also says that the PK52A helped place Danish design on the world map.
