Story
From wicker to paper cord
The PK1 was originally made with wicker. Today it is offered with a seat woven from FSC™-certified paper cord, a weave that Carl Hansen & Søn recreated in accordance with Kjærholm's original chair design.
Steel and weave
The page describes the combination of industrial steel and woven paper cord as expressing lightness and elegance, and calls the PK1 a design icon today.
