Description
Overview
Parker transfers the indefinite contour of a detail from Cy Twombly's work into a broad tabletop. Lorenzo Bini gives the shape its own identity through wood and visible natural grain.
Construction
The declared finish is stained solid ash wood, while the material options label the oak top and base/legs in natural or grey stain. Five legs are each assembled from two slightly offset strips.
Specifications
Model 0PRKTV200 measures 200 x 161 x 73 cm overall (W x D x H).
Story
From a traced detail to wood
Like Bini's Orpheus table, Parker begins with a line drawn by Cy Twombly. Here the material changes the character: solid wood determines the scale and brings grain to the five supports.
Grooves beneath the edge
Three grooves are concealed below the tabletop rim. They form delicate waves that reveal themselves to touch when a hand follows the profile.
