Description

Overview

Parentesit is a 2015 acoustic wall-module system by Lievore Altherr Molina. Arper designed it to reduce background noise and support concentration in shared spaces.

Construction

The family combines square, circular and oval upholstered modules. Article 5100 is a square wall panel that can incorporate a light or an audio-and-light system; its upholstery is attached without glue so technical personnel can separate and replace it.

Specifications

  • Representative article: 5100 square wall panel
  • Unlabelled article values for the square face: 95 × 95 cm
  • One- or two-colour upholstery versions
  • Horizontal insert offered in two stated alternatives
  • Lighting and audio-plus-light accessories

Story

A surface for concentration

Arper presents Parentesit as an acoustic element that gives contemporary shared rooms a more focused zone. Instead of using a conventional partition, the system arranges upholstered geometric forms across a wall, combining sound absorption with a strong visual rhythm.

Modules and services

Parallel, perpendicular and diagonal compositions allow the panels to form different patterns. Selected modules can add lighting or an audio-and-light system. The official article page also explains that glue-free upholstery can be removed for replacement by technical personnel, extending the system beyond a fixed decorative surface.
