Description

Overview

For Minotti, Rodolfo Dordoni drew Page as three misaligned volumes set one on top of the other. The bookcase swivels fully and stands on a circular base, and it can also be used as a display cabinet or a bar cabinet.

Construction

The structure uses 12 mm MDF faced with brushed wenge veneer, finished with an open-pore lacquer. The inner compartments of the three cabinets are clad in aluminium, with a back panel in glossy lacquered MDF, and the base in glossy lacquered MDF has a 360° swivel movement. Each cabinet has 3 compartments, two measuring 32 x 34 H32 cm and one measuring 64 x 34 H32 cm.

Specifications

  • Overall size: 98 x 98 x 116 cm
  • Structure: MDF, 12 mm, wenge veneer
  • Interiors: aluminium, glossy lacquered back panel
  • Base: glossy lacquered MDF, 360° swivel

Story

Modern art and contemporary architecture

With its decidedly sculptural presence, the Page bookcase takes its cue from works of modern art, in the contrasting textures of the interiors and exteriors of its three volumes. The misaligned blocks, set one on top of the other, also call to mind contemporary architecture.

A piece that turns

Page swivels fully and rests on a circular base. A bold piece of furniture, it can sit in the centre of a room and serves as a bookcase, a display cabinet for objects and collections, or a bar cabinet.
