Overview
Orgone Lido is the outdoor edition of Marc Newson's Orgone chaise longue, designed in 1991. Cappellini places it in its Lido outdoor collection and says its modernity is unchanged. The sinuous profile resembles an hourglass.
Construction
The chaise longue is made completely of polish white fiberglass, inspired by the shape and construction techniques of surfboards. It stands on black plastic feet. Cappellini lists it as manufactured in polish lacquered fiberglass.

Story
From Surfboards to Outdoor Spaces
Orgone is one of the very first projects by Marc Newson. Cappellini includes it in the LIDO Cappellini outdoor collection more than thirty years after its presentation. The design draws on the shape and construction techniques of surfboards.

Cappellini calls the sinuous, hourglass-like profile timeless and suitable for furnishing any kind of space. Outdoor furniture of the collection is designed for covered outdoor areas such as verandas, balconies and terraces.
