Description
Overview
Ollo with Shell Back is Glen Oliver Loew’s light-task chair for Knoll. Its lower back is structured for control while the upper zone flexes with movement.
Movement
The active pivot coordinates seat and back motion without a manual adjustment. Both armed and armless models share a 23 in depth and an adjustable 31.75–36.95 in height.
Armed model dimensions
The armed version reaches 25.14 in W × 23 in D × 36.95 in H.
The standard-cylinder note keeps these ranges tied to one documented setup.
Story
Designed for motion
Knoll dates Ollo with Shell Back to 2018 and credits Glen Oliver Loew. The chair was developed for work that changes between people, places and tasks, using a direct control strategy rather than a dense array of manual adjustments.
Two-part response
The back combines a more structured lower portion with a flexible upper portion, while the active pivot changes seat position as the user reclines.
