Overview

The Loveseat armchair is by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso and evolves a chair she first designed in 2000. The solid base of the original becomes a lighter, more delicate leg that tapers out almost to nothing.

Construction

A steel frame carries polyurethane foam. The legs are laminated solid ash, 4.2 cm thick, fitted with height-adjustable glides. Seat height with no load applied is 430 mm, and the covers can be removed on every version except leather.

Story

From the 2000 chair to Loveseat

Loveseat is an evolution of the chair Patricia Urquiola first designed in 2000. The solidity of the base, needed to support and spread the weight of the seat components, becomes lighter and more delicate in the leg, which tapers out almost to nothing in a game of captivating lightness.

A strong, contemporary character

This structural solution gives the chair a strong, contemporary character. It is described as bold and independent, a stand-alone piece that can also be grouped with other chairs.
