Overview
Moon System (2007, Zaha Hadid) is, in the company's description, a sofa-sculpture with curvilinear shapes and a strongly dynamic movement. Backrest, seat and armrest read as a single block, as if "sculpted" into one material, and an ottoman matches the hollows of the seat and follows its profile.

- Foam layer: flexible polyurethane, shaped cold
- Cover: fabric in limited categories, including stretch fabrics and polyurethane coated covers
Specifications
- MS288S sofa: W 288 × D 200 cm; largest vertical value 85 cm, not labelled on the drawing
Story
Hadid and B&B Italia
The page says the project came from a collaboration with the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid and joins B&B Italia's inclination to experiment with her long research into the complexity of curved geometries. It sees references to futuristic sculptures and to certain buildings by Hadid, and explains the name as a combination of unusual shapes with the idea of a product-system.

From a traditional sofa to a monoblock
The page says the theme of the sofa in its more traditional version was radically challenged to obtain a strongly dynamic, angular movement: a monoblock with back, seat and armrest "sculpted" from a single block of material. Though its presence is scenic, it was conceived for the home, which called for a careful assessment of the dimensions.
