Description

Overview

Rodolfo Dordoni gives Marvin an architectural base built from a sequence of quarter circles. Round and softened rectangular surfaces extend the same sculptural idea across multiple sizes.

Construction

Contoured marble or ash-veneered tops rest on laminated underlayers. MDF cores support outer skins in satin stainless steel or polished metal, separated by a matt insert.

Specifications

  • Rectangular reference: 260 × 120 × 74 cm
  • Top thickness: 16 mm
  • Metal levelling feet with ABS glides

Story

Quarter circles below the surface

The base is the visual centre of Marvin. Minotti describes the repeated curved segments, metal reflections and dark interruption as an architectural composition.

Two families of proportion

Three circular diameters and three softened rectangular sizes allow the base arrangement to change with the geometry of the top.
