Story
Function dictating form
The Mark Table's minimal design is an exercise in pure function dictating form. A wrapping articulation gives the table a soft dialogue with the user and sets up a new relationship between the table and the furnishings around it. Marc Thorpe states that the table succeeds through as little design as possible, and that it is less about itself than about the relationships it creates.
A pull-up surface for low seating
The cantilevered table is meant as a flexible, universal pull-up surface next to low lounge seating. Its structure is steel with a powder-coat finish, available in six colours.
