Description
Overview
Designed in 2017, Mariposa Club Armchair translates the soft upholstered form of Barber Osgerby’s sofa group into a compact fixed chair. Unlike the sofas, its sides and back do not adjust.
Construction
- Webbed metal frame with polyurethane foam
- Multilayer polyurethane seat cushion
- Back cushions filled with foam cubes and fibre balls
- Removable covers
Specifications
- 815 × 875 × 780 mm
- 410 mm seat height
Story
Fixed rather than articulated
The Club Armchair belongs visually to Mariposa but omits the moving panels used by the sofas. This distinction produces a smaller chair with a non-swivel base.
Attached back cushions
The rear cushions use chamber filling and connect to the back through a zip fastener. Vitra specifies short legs with anti-slip, height-adjustable glides.
