Description
Wall-mounted Lloyd cabinet
The Lloyd Low Cabinet Wall belongs to Jean-Marie Massaud's system of storage units and bookcases. This wall version has movable grids only on the front; the rear side is closed by a matt-black MDF panel whose visible inner face can also be covered in saddle leather.
Construction
The shelves are HPL laminate veneered in natural oak. Medium-density fibreboard forms the upright supports, which receive a saddle-leather covering. Fixed and movable grids are solid oak, with plastic glides running in guides cut into the shelves.

Story
Variable geometry
Massaud designed Lloyd as a storage system whose vertical wooden grids travel along concealed horizontal guides. The grids can be moved to change how much of the contents is revealed.
Wall version
On the wall-mounted low cabinet, the moving grids are confined to the front. The solid-oak rods are cut in different thicknesses, glued individually and given their lead-coloured finish by hand in several stages.
