Construction
The base structures are rigid polyurethane from a mould, either painted in glossy lacquer with a metal insert or covered with stainless steel sheets. The top is a wood panel with a lacquered edge, or a stone or wood insert in a stainless steel frame. The finish of the rim is mirrored in the base.
Specifications
- LT35/12: 350 x 125 cm, 74 cm high (axes not labelled on the drawing)
- Smaller tables: LT25/11 and LT29/12
- Versions: glossy lacquered structure with wood top; steel structure and frame with stone or wood insert
Story
Two curved bases
It has a strong sculptural presence: two opposing, curved base structures that intertwine, reaching upwards with grace. The Molteni&C page says this creates a striking visual presence, and that the table brings a refined touch to expansive, airy interiors.
Material continuity
Both texts say the rim finish is carried down into the base, which gives the top and base one continuous material and, in the datasheet's words, a distinctive aesthetic. It is a bold centerpiece in a spacious living area or the focal point of intimate gatherings.
