Description
Overview
Leslie is a group of armchairs by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti, from the 2015 Collection. Minotti says they give a feeling of closeness and protection, while their proportions project a formal elegance on the outside. The family lists a bergère, an armchair with armrests, an armchair without armrests and an ottoman.
Construction

- Inner shell: contoured Baydur® CSP set in flexible, flame-resistant polyurethane foam; the bergère has an extra softer Memory Foam insert
- Seat base: solid ash with an open-pore Moka stain, fixed to a metal underframe with webbing; the seat is variable-density foam with a centre insert of steel pocket springs
- Legs: moulded cast aluminium, Pewter varnish, polished anti-fingerprint finish, black SEBS pads
Specifications
- Leslie armchair (with armrests): W 78 x D 87 x H 75 cm (height not labelled on the drawing)

Story
A shell with a leather skin
Minotti's page describes an inner shell of foam sitting inside a heat-moulded outer shell of structural polyurethane foam that is covered wholly in leather. It names precise proportions and tailored construction as the distinctive features, the second one seen in the quality of the leather upholstery on both shells.
Leather or contrast
The armchair is described as extremely customisable. Both shells can be upholstered in leather, giving an all-over material effect, or the leather outer shell can be paired with an inner shell and seat in one of Minotti's fabrics for a striking contrast. The family appears with the little armchairs in the 2015 Collection.
