Lawrence Bed

Overview

Lawrence Bed by Rodolfo Dordoni gives the classic upholstered bed a contemporary turn, with balanced proportions and constructive details. The headboard is padded and can be a single piece or divided into two separate elements, which allows symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations and different upholstery on each element. Its removable upholstery carries elegant stitching in a graphic pattern of squares.

Construction

The free-standing bed frame is a single piece in very thick plywood and holds pocket springs under a layer of high-resilience polyurethane foam. A perforated plywood panel sits under the springs, and a perforated fabric covers the upper part of the frame. The headboard has a plywood core under variable-density polyurethane padding, fitted with two headrests, and is joined to the sommier by a bayonet coupling. Fabric and leather covers are completely removable.
