Description
Overview
Hood lamp Table lamp is a table lamp by Andreas Kowalewski for Ligne Roset. An opal glass shade holds the LED bulb, and a half-spherical dome of grey glass is set above it on a steel stem.
Construction
The steel base is Ø 20 cm. The stem is steel tubing of Ø 14 mm in a ribbed epoxy satin black lacquer finish (RAL 9005). The shade is round, Ø 12 cm, and the dome is transparent; both are mouth-blown glass.
Lighting and size
A G9 LED bulb rated 5 W gives 450 lumens at 2,700 K (warm white). The cable is black textile and the foot-operated switch is black. H 600 x W 280 x D 242 mm, weight 3.4 kg.
Story
Glass over a light source
Andreas Kowalewski's Hood lamp table lamp stands 600 mm high on a Ø 20 cm steel base. Above the stem, the round opal glass shade that encloses the bulb is covered by a second dome, half-spherical and made of grey mass-tinted transparent glass.
Switch and cable
The cable is black textile and ends in a black foot-operated switch.
