Description

Upholstered Harbour armchair

The Harbour Dining Chair was developed for the varied functions of Audo House. Its shell balances geometric and organic lines: the sides turn outward for support and the high back continues the enclosing profile. This version uses a black steel base and upholstered shell.

Updated seat cushioning

Audo states that the seat foam increased from 15 mm to 25 mm. The official drawing gives an overall size of 82 cm high, 58.5 cm wide and 55.5 cm deep, with a 48 cm seat height and 41 cm seat depth.

Story

Designed for Audo House

Norm Architects conceived the Harbour Chair while developing Audo's Copenhagen destination, a hybrid combining office, showroom, café and restaurant functions. The dining chair therefore had to address several seating situations in one recognizable form. Its raised sides and back provide support while the four-leg base keeps the footprint visually direct and broadly adaptable across settings.
