Reclining outdoor form
Guell is Vincent Van Duysen's adjustable sunbed for Molteni&C. A rear wheel engages when the frame is raised, allowing the long lounger to move without placing the wheel continuously on the ground.
Three versions
The deck is offered in solid teak slats, polypropylene rope weaving, or Batyline technical fabric. A burnished painted metal line runs around the profile, with stainless steel in the woven frame and die-cast and extruded aluminium in the base.
Representative size
The GLE1B woven sunbed drawing prints 209, 85 and 84 cm as its principal values without axis labels.
Story
The outdoor archetype revisited
Molteni&C calls the sunbed an archetype of outdoor furniture. Guell reworks it through the repeated band and interwoven motif of the Timeout Collection, extending those details across a long adjustable platform.
Movement engineered into the back
The rear wheel sits slightly clear of the ground during normal use and activates only when the lounger is lifted. That small mechanical decision supports easy repositioning while preserving stability when the sunbed is at rest.
