Description

Overview

Gruuve is a sofa system credited to Patricia Urquiola, 2024, and sits in the Sofas category of the Moroso range. Its fluid, irregular lines give a non-conformist twist to the idea of a sofa that can be assembled at will.

Construction

The structure is a Polimex® base with flexible polyurethane foam in differentiated densities and a polyester lining. The covers are removable. The articulated yet continuous lines carry a traditional seat at the front and a more informal one along the back.

Story

A system rooted in Lowseat

Gruuve is described as a new system that evolves the independent seats of the Lowseat system conceived for Moroso in 2000. In this version the design is sturdier, with rounded profiles that reach down to the floor.

Spirit of the 1970s

The sofa captures the spirit of the 1970s and gives a contemporary twist to the non-conformist idea of a sofa assembled at will. Its fluid, irregular lines convey dynamism to the room and give the design an unexpected flexibility, while the seat at the front and the informal one along the back encourage conversation and interaction.
