Description
Overview
Grant is a coffee table whose distinguishing feature is a coloured top that plays with the transparency and texture of glass, treated with a special fusion process. The surface is slightly wavy, as is characteristic of fused glass, and contrasts with the plastic forms of the frame, giving a simple furnishing element a sculptural feel.
Construction
The frame is metal, a one-piece crown-shaped structure with legs tapered towards the bottom, in a polished Chrome or a Black finish. The top is transparent wavy-effect glass painted in Rust, Olive, Mulberry or Smoke, partially recessed. It rests on Anthracite-coloured rubber feet.
Story
Glass treated by fusion
The coloured top of Grant is transparent glass treated by a special fusion process, which leaves a slightly wavy surface. Four colours are offered: Mulberry, Olive, Rust and Smoke.
A crown-shaped frame
The frame is a single piece of metal shaped like a crown, with legs that taper towards the bottom. Its Chrome or Black finish sets the tactile top against forms that carry a sculptural feel.
