Giulietta Cord Outdoor

Overview

Giulietta "Cord" Outdoor is the outdoor evolution of the Giulietta dining little armchair, designed by Inoda+Sveje for Minotti. It keeps the formal restraint of the indoor chair and translates it into a presence suited to open-air settings. The backrest is woven in polyester cord with a chequerboard pattern that lets air and light filter through.

Construction

• Structure: lacquered in gloss over structural polyurethane (BAYDUR® 60), with a coated metal insert inside; a version entirely in natural solid teak (Tectona Grandis, First European Quality) is also made
• Seat: aluminium frame coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam, then encased in water-repellent, eco-friendly viscose fibre
• Backrest: stainless steel varnished matt Bronze with an exterior-grade varnish, covered with 7 mm polyester cord; its flame-retardant additive also protects the colour against sunlight
• Glides: polyethylene, each with a cork pad that can be replaced

Lacquer, teak and woven cord

The lacquered structure combines solidity, protection and tactile quality, while the natural teak version has smooth, silky surfaces that reveal the joinery details typical of solid wood construction. The chequerboard cord backrest brings a material and graphic dimension and lightens the silhouette.
